Lymm Runners Santa Dash Dickensian Day 2026
The Lymm Runners Santa Dash is part of the Lymm Dickensian Day celebrations and opens the parade in red and white. The event in 2026 marks its tenth year and is scheduled for 12 December 2026. Entries open in October 2026.
Participants receive a special Lymm Runners Santa Dash suit as part of the entry fee. The event is described as a fun run rather than a competitive race and runners are encouraged to jog down Eagle Brow and take in the parade atmosphere. The start location is outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge and the route leads through the village, finishing at Sow Brook where finishers receive a souvenir. The finish is a short walk back to the village and Dickensian Day activities.
Distances:
- 5 km Fun Run, open to runners aged 8 and above
- About 4.3 km Santa Stride for walkers, omitting the Reddish Lane loop
The Santa Stride is offered as a shorter option for power walking participants. The main Santa Dash route is viewable on MapMyRun. Further participant information is sent by email about three weeks before the event, including instructions for suit pick-up and meeting arrangements.
Lymm Runners also operates a weekly Power Walking session on Thursday evenings and aims to donate sports equipment to local primary schools to support junior running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
