Lymm Runners Dickensian Santa Dash

The Lymm Runners Santa Dash is part of the Lymm Dickensian Day parade and opens the procession in a display of red and white. Now in its tenth year, the event sends around 200 Santas through the village with crowds lining the pavements. The event is organised by Lymm Runners and is presented as a fun run rather than a competitive race.

Entry is open to fun runners aged 8 and over who are capable of completing the 5 km course. Each entrant receives a special Lymm Runners Santa Dash suit as part of the entry fee. Participants meet outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge and lead off the main Dickensian Day procession, running down Eagle Brow and through the village. The finish line is at Sow Brook, where finishers receive a souvenir and can return to the village for Dickensian Day activities.

The Santa Stride follows the same start and finish but omits the loop around Reddish Lane. The route is available to view on MapMyRun and a set of run rules is provided by the organisers. Further instructions, including suit pick-up details, are emailed to entrants before the event.

Lymm Runners also aims to donate sports equipment to local primary schools and has supported several local schools and junior teams in past years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
