Wilmslow Festive 10K 2026
The event takes place on 22 November 2026 in Wilmslow (postcode SK9 1BU). It is a certified 10 km road race licensed by UKA and held on a one lap course that starts in the town centre and finishes on Mobberley Road / Sandy Lane.
The route passes through leafy residential streets and scenic country roads, offering a mix of flat running and countryside scenery. The first 5 km is described as very quick. The course is measured and certified as an accurate 10K and is run on fully closed roads.
Race services include chip timing with immediate results, pacers from 35 to 80 minutes (now every 2.5 minutes from 35 to 75), KM markers, drinks stations at the halfway point and the finish, bag drop, first aid and toilets. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and there is an optional commemorative technical finishers t shirt. Bottled water is provided by a supplier whose bottles are 51% recycled plastic and 100% recyclable.
Entries are limited and the race typically sells out in advance; there is no official waiting list or on the day entry. Entry fees are shown as £28 for club runners and £30 for non club runners. Free transfers are allowed until midnight Saturday 23 November, either to another person or to a virtual race entry to be completed within a month. Prizes are awarded to the top five finishers and veteran awards are issued by email. The official race charity is The Christie Charity, with over £140,000 raised as of June 2026.
