Manchester MoRun at Heaton Park
MoRun at Heaton Park is a series of chip-timed runs supporting Movember and men's health. The event is based in The Bowl, below the Farm Centre, and uses paths and trails around the park.
The course is a mix of path and trail running, undulating, dog friendly and generally OK for buggies though some sections can be bumpy or muddy. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Two sections of the route involve road crossings and marshals will be positioned around the course to guide runners. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the half marathon is four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section.
Participants receive a race number with chip, a MoRunning headband and an event medal. Additional offerings include drinks and sweets at the finish, spot prizes and bonus medals for categories such as best dressed and fastest moustache, reward points for future events, and instant race results showing both gun time and net time. Mini MoRunners receive a dedicated Mini Mo medal, chip timing, headband and junior prizes.
Practical information includes on-site parking (pay and display), toilets and limited bag storage under manned gazebos, warm-up activities and a fancy dress competition. The event is not UK Athletics affiliated; results appear via ResultsBase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
