5 Mile Fall Classic @LPP
The LPP Fall Classic is a trail running event held in Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, Louisiana. The race consists of a single distance of 5 miles and follows a route through the rolling hills of the park. The course starts and finishes near the water by the concession pavilion.
The route includes a portion of the lake loop and approximately four miles of trails. Specifically, the course utilizes the final section of the park's trail system, covering miles six through nine. Participants who have previously competed in the 5 miler at The Old School event will find that this race utilizes a different section of the trail network.
This event is timed and takes place on the same day as a large park festival, which features various activities throughout the grounds. Proceeds from the race directly benefit Lincoln Parish Park. After completing the course, participants receive refreshments including chips and cold drinks. Special awards are presented to the overall first place male and female finishers. Event shirts are ordered based on registration numbers prior to the race day.
