College of Applied & Natural Sciences: Run for Research takes place on October 24, 2026, at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. The course runs through and around the Louisiana Tech campus.

- Supporter/T-Shirt Only entry (not running or walking)
Registration windows and fees are provided for each option. The in-person 5K registration opens 06/29/2026 and closes 09/15/2026; the fee is $25.00. The Supporter/T-Shirt Only registration opens 07/01/2026 and closes 09/26/2026; the fee is $20.00. The Virtual 5K registration opens 07/08/2026 and closes 09/15/2026; the fee is $25.00.
Virtual participants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for their packet. Packets for virtual entries will be mailed and shipped the week after the race. Virtual participants may upload their times starting the day of the event on the results page.
Awards for the in-person 5K include a finisher medal for all finishers. Age-group awards for the 5K are given 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall for male and female, and 1st place male and female in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
