The College of Applied and Natural Sciences presents a homecoming 5K event at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA that supports student research, service learning, and educational programs. The event includes on site and virtual participation options plus a supporter t shirt registration that does not involve running or walking.

Registration details vary by option. The on site 5K has a registration period in the summer and a fee of $25. The virtual 5K and the supporter T shirt option have separate registration windows and fees; the supporter entry fee is $20, and the virtual entry fee is $25. Virtual participants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for the race packet. Virtual packets will be mailed and are scheduled to ship the week after the race. Virtual participants may upload their times on the results page beginning on the day of the event.
The course runs through and around the Louisiana Tech campus. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Age group awards for the 5K are given for overall male and female and for the following age groups for both sexes: 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
