Liberty Ruck & 5k

Liberty Ruck & 5k is scheduled for August 15, 2026 in Ruston, Louisiana at 418 Dan Reneau Drive, near the engineering buildings. The event includes two distance options and open registration windows.

5k (3.1 miles) - two lap course
1.7 Mile Ruck - one lap course

Registration opens March 19 and closes August 15. Entry fees are listed as Early Bird $30 until midnight August 14 and race day $40. Packet pick up begins at 7:00 a.m. on race morning at the race site.

Proceeds are allocated to veteran causes: 90% to the annual Veterans Day Program and 10% to a veteran non profit. The event features awards for both divisions, including 1st overall male and female, and 1st male and female in each age group for both divisions: 10-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71 and over.
