About the race
Breacher 5k takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Railroad Park, 101 West Park Avenue, Ruston, LA. The event includes a 5k road race and a separate kids run, plus a fun run and a support category.

- 1 mile kids run
Registration and fees are specified for each entry type. 5k registration is $30 through Thursday, August 20 and includes a T-shirt; late 5k registration is $35 from August 21 through race day and does not include a T-shirt. The Sleep In Supporter option matches the 5k registration price and does not include a T-shirt or medal. The 1 mile kids fun run carries a $15 registration fee through race day; all children who complete the fun run receive a medal but no T-shirt.
Race packet pick-up is available on Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Ruston Police Department, 501 N Trenton Street. Race day registration and packet handling are available at the race site.
Awards for the 5k include recognition for the first overall male and female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Fun run participants do not qualify for age-group awards. If a child will compete in the 5k, they should be registered in the 5k rather than the fun run.
