Not Ya Mama’s 5K is a community running event hosted by the Calhoun Civic Club in Calhoun, Louisiana. The event includes a main road race and a separate kids fun run and supports local scholarships and renovations to the West Ouachita Wellness Park. The main race follows a circuit beginning at the Calhoun Civic Club on Calhoun Loop Road, passes along Owens, McCain Farm Road, and West Ouachita Baseball Road, and finishes by entering West Ouachita Wellness Park for a lap around the park track. The children’s fun run is a short loop around the Wellness Park track.
Race fees are listed for each event. Race packets are made available in advance at the community Spring Fling and at the Calhoun Civic Club on the days before the race. The running events are part of a larger Spring Fling celebration that features live entertainment, craft and vendor booths, food trucks, a chili cookoff with cooks from throughout the south, a craft and vendors market, a kids zone with games and a petting zoo, interactions with area first responders, and a community Easter egg hunt.
