Long Grove Turkey Trot

The event is chip timed and includes fun run categories and kids categories. Course time limits apply: 5K Wave 1 31 minutes, 5K Wave 2 1 hour 15 minutes, 8K 1 hour 10 minutes. All participants are required to sign an online waiver. Headphones are allowed but are not recommended. No dogs are permitted; strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only and require a parent or guardian waiver.
Post race amenities and gear options include Apple Haus donuts at the finish, hot apple cider and beer for participants 21 and older at Long Grove Village Tavern, and a runner's choice of a classic t shirt or an upgrade to a thin tec soft polyester pullover. Packet mailing is offered for a fee and virtual packet shipments are typically delivered one to two weeks after race day.
The event supports the Northern Illinois Food Bank; the organizer notes that one dollar donated can provide eight dollars worth of groceries. Parking is available in historic downtown Long Grove with off site parking and shuttle service to the start/finish area at 308 Old McHenry Rd, Long Grove, IL 60047.
