Wolfpack 5K: the Great Turkey Chase
The Wolfpack 5k: the Great Turkey Chase is an inaugural running and walking event held in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The race starts and finishes on the property of Prairie Ridge High School and follows a route through the adjacent Squaw Creek neighborhood. Participants engage in a 5K race that uses bib-integrated chip timing for accurate results.

A specific feature of this event is the "Pass the Poult" challenge. Participants have the opportunity to chase a designated runner representing a baby turkey, known as a poult, along the course. Individuals who finish the race before the poult receive a prize.
Registration includes a commemorative t-shirt, though these are only guaranteed for those who register by October 25, 2026. Same-day packet pickup takes place inside the Prairie Ridge High School cafeteria. The race proceeds in various weather conditions, including rain or shine.
