Wolfpack 5K: The Great Turkey Chase
The Wolfpack 5K is a 5K run/walk held on Prairie Ridge property in Crystal Lake, with a course that enters the adjacent Squaw Creek neighborhood for part of the route. The course for this inaugural event will not be certified, and chip timing with bibs will be used for recorded results.
The event includes a playful Pass the Poult challenge. A poult is a baby turkey, and runners who cross the finish line before the poult will receive an additional prize. T shirts are included with the registration fee but are only guaranteed for registrations received by October 25, 2026.
Registration for the 5K opens May 5, 2026 and closes October 26, 2026. The stated registration fee is $40.00. Same day packet pickup is held in Prairie Ridge High School Cafeteria from 8:45 to 9:50 AM; advanced packet pickup is available though specific details are not provided.
The Prairie Ridge High School Booster Club is sponsoring the inaugural 5K to support its general fund for spring allocations that benefit sports, clubs and activity groups at Prairie Ridge.
