Lone Wolf Manchester 2027
Lone Wolf Manchester is a 24 hour looped endurance event held at Heaton Park in Manchester. Participants run the same loop every hour; each loop must be completed within 60 minutes to continue on to the next lap. On the 24th lap the event becomes a final race to the finish and a single overall winner is declared.
The course runs through wooded sections and undulating forest-track terrain within Heaton Park. The event offers multiple distance options based on how many laps a participant completes, including:
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra marathon
Facilities at the event base include a café, a large room for changing and resting, toilets, water points, a first aid station, and onsite paid parking. Participants can store food and small items in available kitchen appliances such as a kettle, small fridge, and microwave.
Organiser guidelines note that participants should be punctual at the start line each hour. In the case of a tie on the final lap, the first runner to cross the finish line is declared the winner. The event recognises one male and one female champion. Wooden medals are provided for all participants and a handmade wooden trophy is awarded to the overall winner.
The event is for adults aged 18 and over. Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted and spectators may view from the start and finish area. Phone signal may be poor in parts of the forest and open fires or barbecues are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
