Black Night Scar is scheduled for 25 November 2025 at the Hare and Hounds Pub, Burnley Road, Todmorden OL14 8EA. The race is organised by Turnslack Fell Race. Entries open 19 August 2025 and close 23 November 2025. Entry fees are listed as £6 for FRA members and £7 for non-members. There are 4 participants entered so far. The minimum age is 16. Team prizes are awarded with 3 to count for men and 3 to count for women. Refreshments and prize giving take place in the pub. The event is listed as a new race with no existing records.
Course and equipment
The race is a Category AS fell race with a course described as 5.8 km distance and 315 m ascent. The start is described as opposite Stoney Royd Lane on the track to Sourhall. Head torches are compulsory. Competitors are asked to bring full FRA kit: waterproof jacket (with hood), waterproof trousers, hat, gloves, compass, whistle, map and emergency food.
