The course features over 6,800 feet of ascent and visits six stone carvings featuring poems by Simon Armitage, known as the Stanza Stones. The route also passes through the historic village of Haworth.

The event is held twice a year: a winter edition in November and a summer edition in June. Registration is available the evening before at the finish location. On race day, there is an optional coach transfer from the finish to the start. The minimum age for participants is 20.

The course uses sections of the Pennine Way and passes landmarks including Stoodley Pike and Ilkley Moor. There are three indoor checkpoints providing food, located in Mytholmroyd, Haworth, and Bingley. Free camping is available at the finish venue on the nights before and after the race. The event offers live tracking, a finisher's memento, an optional finisher's t-shirt, and a post-race meal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
