Event

Lighthouse 5k Series takes place on September 9, 2026 in Corolla, North Carolina. The event is organized in partnership with Brindley Beach Vacations and is held at The Whalehead Club, 1100 Club Road, Corolla, NC 27927. The race start and finish are in front of the Historic Mansion at The Whalehead Club.

Adult entry fee is $45. Entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. Walk-up registration and pre-registered packet pickup/check-in are available on race morning at the race start line. There is onsite parking and restrooms. The course passes landmarks including the WhaleHead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, first place Masters male and female (over 40), and first place Youth male and female (14 and under). The event is walker and stroller friendly, allows service dogs, and does not allow other pets. Registration materials note that proceeds assist local charities.
