Corolla Thanksgiving Day Wild Turkey 5K & 1 Mile
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 at the Whalehead Club, 1100 Club Road, Corolla, NC. It includes multiple running distances and a youth fun run with field size limits to manage participation.

Pre-race packet pick-up and late registration are available on November 25 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM at The GYM, 3712 N. Croatan Highway, Kitty Hawk. Race day check-in is available onsite in front of the Whalehead Club. Field limits are 500 for the 5K/1 Mile events and 100 for the Fun Run.
Entry fees vary by category with listed prices for adults, military, youth, and the Fun Run. Registered participants receive a long sleeve uni-fit cotton T-shirt, a unique finisher medal, chip timing, and post-race light breakfast and snacks. Awards include top three male and female overall, top three overall masters male and female (over 40), and first place in five-year age-group increments.
Course support includes a bicycle lead, course marshals, turn arrows, and a water stop at the halfway point. The event is open to runners, walkers, wheelchair users, and stroller participants; service dogs only. A canned goods and non-perishable food collection supports the local food bank.
