The Lighthouse 5k Series September 2, 2026 is a running event held on September 2, 2026 in Corolla, North Carolina. The venue is The Whalehead Club, 1100 Club Road, in the recently renamed Historic Corolla Park. This is the 16th annual running of the Lighthouse 5k / 1 Mile series.

Details

Adult entry is listed at $45 and youth 17 and under at $40. Walk-up registration and pre-registered packet pickup are available on race morning. The start and finish are in front of the Historic Mansion at The Whalehead Club. Parking and restrooms are located onsite. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion and chip timing.

Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, first place Masters male and female (over 40) and first place Youth male and female (14 and under). The event is sponsored by Brindley Beach Vacations and the course passes local points of interest including the WhaleHead Club, Corolla Light and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The event is walker and stroller friendly; service dogs are allowed and other pets are not. Registration is stated to remain open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
