Lighthouse 5k Series : Corolla, NC
The Lighthouse 5k / 1 Mile Race Series is scheduled for August 19, 2026, at the Whalehead Club in Historic Corolla Park, Corolla, North Carolina. The series marks its 16th annual running and routes pass several local landmarks in the northern Outer Banks.
The event offers the following distances:

- 1 Mile
Registration fees are listed as Adult $45 and Youth 17 and under $40. Walk-up registration and pre-registered packet pickup are available race morning at the race start line at the Whalehead Club. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion and chip timing. Parking is available onsite and restrooms are provided.
The course goes through the Historic Village of Corolla Light and passes the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The race start and finish are in front of the Historic Mansion at the Whalehead Club. Awards include Top 3 Male and Female overall, first place Masters Male and Female over 40, and first place Youth Male and Female 14 and under.
The series is presented by Brindley Beach Vacations. Events are walker and stroller friendly, service dogs are allowed and other pets are not permitted. Each event supports local charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
