Lighthouse 5k Series
The Lighthouse 5k Series returns for its 16th annual year in Corolla, North Carolina. This summer event takes place at The Whalehead Club, situated within the Historic Corolla Park. The course guides participants through the Historic Village of Corolla Light, offering views of several local landmarks.
Participants will pass by several historic attractions of the Northern Outer Banks during the event, including:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The route features sights such as the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The start and finish lines are located directly in front of the historic mansion at the Whalehead Club.
The event is designed to be accessible to various participants, including walkers and those using strollers. Service dogs are permitted on the course, though other pets are not allowed. On-site facilities include ample parking and restrooms for all attendees.
Every registered participant receives an event t-shirt and a unique finisher medallion. The races are professionally timed using chip technology. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the first-place finishers in the masters (ages 40 and over) and youth (ages 14 and under) categories.
