Lighthouse 5k Series
The Lighthouse 5k Series celebrates its 16th annual running in Corolla, North Carolina. The event takes place at The Whalehead Club, situated within the Historic Corolla Park. The course tours various historic attractions of the Northern Outer Banks, including the Historic Village of Corolla Light and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The event starts and finishes in front of the historic mansion at The Whalehead Club. The route is open to both runners and walkers, and is described as stroller friendly. Service dogs are permitted, but no other pets are allowed on the course.
All registered participants receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medallion. Timing is provided via chip timing technology. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the first place male and female finishers in the Masters (over 40) and Youth (14 and under) categories.
Onsite amenities at 1100 Club Road include parking and restroom facilities. Packet pickup and check-in are conducted at the race start line on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
