Event

The Lighthouse 5k Series takes place on August 12, 2026 in Corolla, North Carolina. The event includes two distances:

Presented by Brindley Beach Vacations, the race tours historic attractions of the northern Outer Banks. The course passes the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The start and finish are in front of the Historic Mansion at The Whalehead Club, located at 1100 Club Road in the recently renamed Historic Corolla Park.

Registration and fees

Adult entry is listed at $45; youth 17 and under are listed at $40. Registration remains open, and walk-up registration plus pre-registered packet pickup are available on race morning. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. The organizer notes that everyone receives a shirt and medal.

Details and awards

There is onsite parking and restrooms. The event is walker and stroller friendly; service dogs are allowed and other pets are not. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the first place Masters male and female (over 40), and the first place Youth male and female (14 and under).
