Lighthouse 5k Series July 29, 2026

The Lighthouse 5k Series is scheduled for July 29, 2026, at The Whalehead Club, 1100 Club Road, Corolla, NC 27927. The event is the 16th annual running of the Lighthouse 5k / 1 Mile series and is sponsored by Brindley Beach Vacations. Start and finish are in front of the Historic Mansion at The Whalehead Club. The course passes local attractions including the WhaleHead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.

Event details

Registration is available both as walk-up and pre-registered packet pickup on race morning. Adult registration is listed at $45 and youth (17 and under) at $40. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. The site notes there is plenty of parking and restrooms onsite. The event is walker and stroller friendly; service dogs are allowed and other pets are not permitted. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, first place Masters male/female (over 40), and first place Youth male/female (14 and under). Each event supports local charities.
