Lighthouse 5k Series
The Lighthouse 5k Series is a running event taking place in Corolla, North Carolina. This is the 16th annual running of the event.
The event offers two distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The event starts and finishes in front of the Historic Mansion at The Whalehead Club, located at 1100 Club Road in Historic Corolla Park. The course goes through the Historic Village of Corolla Light, passing landmarks such as the Whalehead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
Registration is available on race morning from 6:50 AM to 7:50 AM at the start line. The entry fee is $45 for adults and $40 for youth aged 17 and under. All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. On-site parking and restrooms are available.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall, the first male and female masters (over 40), and the first male and female youth (14 and under). The event is described as walker and stroller friendly. Service dogs are allowed, but other pets are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
