Event overview
The Lifescape 4th of July Classic Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in downtown Rockford. All races start and finish on Madison Street near the Rockford Trolley Station. Registration ends on July 3, 2026. Prices vary by event; some events list a price range of $15 to $30. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after June 5, 2026, and early bird pricing applies to registrations completed by the end of April 2026.

- 1 Mile Family Fun Walk : Adult and kids 13 and under
Logistics, prizes and beneficiaries
Packet pickup dates will be determined in early 2026. Race day registration is not available. The 2 Mile and 8k races are part of the Rockford Road Runners Circuit Series. All finishers receive medals and event T-shirts; a post-run pancake breakfast is provided at the Downtown Rockford City Pavilion.
Cash prizes of $100 are listed for first place overall in both the 8k and the 2-mile for male and female divisions; other prize places are listed as TBD. Cash prizes will be mailed after the event; student athletes may not accept cash prizes. Proceeds support Lifescape programs and services for older adults and adults with disabilities, including Meals on Wheels, Adult Protective Services, Adult Day Program, Transportation Services, senior information and mental health services, AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer programs, and comprehensive care coordination.
