Lifescape 4th of July Classic Run/Walk
The Lifescape 4th of July Classic Run/Walk takes place in downtown Rockford. Start and finish locations are listed as N. Water Street in front of the Riverview Ice House and Madison Street near the Rockford Trolley Station.
Event distances and categories include:
- 8k run (4.97 miles) and 8k run, kids 13 and under
- 2 mile run and 2 mile run, kids 13 and under
- 1 mile family fun walk and 1 mile family fun walk, kids 13 and under
Registration closes on July 3, 2026. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after June 5, 2026. An early bird price applies for registrations completed by the end of April 2026. Race day registration is not available.
All participants receive race apparel and finisher medals. After the event, participants are invited to the Downtown Rockford City Pavilion for a post run pancake breakfast. Prize awards list a $100 cash first place for overall male and female in both the 8k and the 2 mile; other prize positions are listed as TBD. Student athletes may not accept cash prizes.
All proceeds benefit Lifescape programs and services for older adults and adults with disabilities, including Meals on Wheels, Adult Protective Services, the Adult Day Program, Transportation Services, Senior Choice Information and Assistance, Senior Mental Health, Health and Wellness Services, AmeriCorps Seniors, and Comprehensive Care Coordination.
