Lifescape 4th of July Classic Run/Walk
The Lifescape 4th of July Classic Run/Walk takes place in downtown Rockford with the start and finish at 300 N. Madison Street, under the Jefferson Street bridge near the Trolley Station. The event is organized by Lifescape Community Services and is scheduled for July 4, 2027.
Participants may choose among several course options:
- 8k (4.97 miles)
- 8k (4.97 miles) : kids 13 and under category
- 2 miles
- 2 miles : kids 13 and under category
- 1 mile family fun walk
- 1 mile family fun walk : kids 13 and under category
Registration opens in October 2026 and registration deadlines vary by event, with some closing as early as April 30, 2027 and others remaining open until July 2, 2027. Registration fees range from $10 to $30 depending on the event and age category. Race day registration is not available.
All participants receive race items including finisher medals and a commemorative run T-shirt when available; shirts may not be guaranteed for registrations after June 15, 2027. After the event, participants are invited to the Downtown Rockford City Pavilion for a free post-run pancake breakfast. Packet pickup is at Fleet Feet, 1653 N Alpine Rd., on July 1 and July 2.
Proceeds support Lifescape programs for older adults and adults with disabilities, including Meals on Wheels, adult day services, transportation, and care coordination. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
