Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K
The Dasher Dash is a holiday themed Run/Walk held in downtown Rockford, Illinois, with the course starting and finishing in Davis Park at 320 S Wyman St, Rockford, IL 61101. The route crosses the Rock River and continues down decorated East State Street as part of seasonal street festivities.
The event is presented with seasonal elements including a costume contest, a festive race shirt, and finisher medals. Awards are given to Overall Male and Female finishers and to the top three in the following age groups: 0-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 plus. Timing is provided by Tri-3 Sports Timing.
The race is part of the broader Stroll on State festivities, which include a parade, live music, a tree lighting, and other seasonal events. Inline skates and dogs are not permitted. The event is family friendly and strollers are allowed when starting near the rear.
