Essex Walker
Essex Walker is a long-distance walking and running event based at Blackmore Village Hall in Essex. The main route is a 26 mile figure of eight that follows footpaths and bridleways through the Essex countryside via Fryerning, Wyatts Green, and Mountnessing. The event is part of the Essex and Herts Triple Challenge, alongside Blackwater Marathon and Herts Hobble.

- 18 miles follows the first loop plus 3 miles
The long route includes three checkpoints. The shorter route has a checkpoint at about 9 miles. Costs cover hot and cold drinks at the start, snacks and sandwiches at checkpoints, and a meal at the finish. All finishers receive a certificate. Entrants must bring a personal mug.
Entries are limited to 200 and close on Sunday 18th October 2026 or earlier if the limit is reached. Entries are not transferable and there are no entries on the day. Refunds are not given after Saturday 17th October 2026 unless the event is cancelled. Minimum age is 16 and under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
