Ghost of the Miller's Boy Trail Run
The Ghost of the Miller’s Boy Trail Run is a narrative night time trail of 10 km that starts and finishes at The Maypole Public House in Thaxted. The route is largely off road on footpaths, bridleways and tracks around Thaxted, with some short sections on quiet roads. The event takes place after dark and participants are responsible for self navigation.
This is a self navigation trail race using a written route description that will be issued on the day. There are no course markings or marshals and no GPX file will be provided. This is not a mass start event. Participants will be timed out and back in at the finish. Walkers and runners are welcome; walkers are encouraged to choose earlier start slots if possible.
Participants must carry a mobile phone and their own lighting. Running with dogs is not allowed.
Entry fees are shown as £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non affiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee. The entry fee is non refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organisers. The entry fee includes a drinks voucher from The Maypole with a maximum value of £4.50. All profits from the event will be donated to the ongoing restoration of John Webb’s Windmill (John Webbs Windmill CIO). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
