The Stort30 is a 30 mile out-and-back ultra along the River Stort and Lee navigation, starting and finishing at Bishop's Stortford Running Club (Hockerill Sports and Social Club), Beldams Lane, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM23 5LG.

The route is 15 miles out and 15 miles back. Surface is mostly grassy trail and graded footpath, with the first half mile and the final half mile on footpaths or tarmac. In wet conditions up to about 12 miles of riverside trail can be muddy or slippery. The course is mostly flat and has signage before and after turns; a .gpx file and written route description are available as backups.

Checkpoints are placed approximately every 5 miles and typically offer water, squash, basic sweets, snacks and occasional hot items. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are provided where possible but cross contamination cannot be guaranteed. The event is cupless so runners must carry their own drinking vessel; foldable cups are available to buy at registration.

Facilities at the clubhouse include toilets, changing rooms, showers and baggage storage. There is no parking at the clubhouse; parking is available at the nearby Bishop's Stortford train station and the start can be reached on foot. The race is electronically timed with live results updates and awards include a medal for all finishers and trophies for the first three runners of each sex.

Entrants must be 18 or over. Recommended qualifying standards are a half marathon under 3 hours or a marathon under 6.5 hours. Entries close October 11th 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
