Latitude 29.2 Triathlon : Fort Travis Park, Port Bolivar (May 3, 2026)
The 2026 Latitude 29.2 Triathlon is scheduled for May 3, 2026 at Fort Travis Park on the Bolivar Peninsula. The event features multiple race formats including triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and relay categories offered at sprint and Olympic distances.
Swims take place in the Gulf of Mexico with protected barriers on both sides. The bike course runs on State Highway 87 as an out-and-back route; the sprint bike is one loop and the Olympic bike is two loops. The run uses a local neighborhood route with gulf views; the sprint run is one loop and the Olympic run is two loops. The duathlon begins with a one-mile run.

Packet pick up occurs April 30 in Houston and May 2 at the event surf shop. Timing is chip based and splits include transitions; chips are distributed at packet pick up and must be returned after the race. The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned and requires a USAT membership. The organizer describes a post-race party with local brewers, music, food, and spectator viewing spots.
