Event overview
The 2026 Latitude 29.2 Triathlon takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Fort Travis Park, 900 State Hwy 87, Port Bolivar, TX 77650. The swim is held in the Gulf of Mexico with a protected barrier on both sides. The bike course follows Highway 87 as an out-and-back route; the sprint uses one loop and the Olympic uses two loops. The run goes through a local neighborhood; the sprint is one loop and the Olympic is two loops. An after party is planned with local brewers, music and food. The park includes a playground. Spectator viewing is available along the routes. Accommodation options are listed for Bolivar, Galveston and Winnie, including an RV park and two local hotels.

Timing, awards and rules
The event is chip timed and includes split timing with transitions; chips are issued at packet pick up and must be returned at the finish line. This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event; a USA Triathlon membership is required. Membership pricing listed: annual for 17 and under $10, one-day for 18 and older $15, annual for 18 and older $50. Awards go to overall top male and female, overall masters top male and female, and top three in age groups and relay categories. Age groups run from 14 and under through 80 plus. Clydesdale is 220 lbs and over, Athena is 165 lbs and over, with 39 and under and 40 and over divisions. All finishers receive a shirt (if registered before order deadline) and a finisher medal.
