The 2026 Latitude 29.2 Triathlon takes place Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Fort Travis Park in Port Bolivar, TX. The race day includes multiple triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and relay events across sprint and Olympic distances.

Course, timing, and logistics
The swim is in the Gulf of Mexico with a protected barrier on both sides. The bike uses Hwy. 87 on an out-and-back route - one loop for sprint, two loops for Olympic. The run is through a local neighborhood with gulf views - one loop for sprint, two loops for Olympic. The duathlon first run is one mile. The event is chip timed; chips are distributed at packet pick up and must be returned at the finish line.
Packet pick up is scheduled on April 30, 2026 in Houston and May 2, 2026 at the Latitude 29.2 Surf Shop in Crystal Beach.
Sanctioning, awards, and other notes
The race is USA Triathlon sanctioned; a USAT membership is required and may be purchased during registration. Awards include overall and masters top finishers, top three in age groups and relays, and Clydesdale and Athena categories by weight and age. All athletes receive a shirt if registered before the order deadline and a finisher medal. The event is rain or shine; segments may be modified for safety and there are no refunds if the event is cancelled. A post-race party with local brewers, music, and food is planned.
