Galveston Island Turkey Trot
The Galveston Island Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 in Galveston, TX. The event offers a race option and a T Shirt only option for participants and supporters.

The 5K is an out and back route along the Galveston Seawall. The course begins and ends at 28th and Seawall and finishes with a post race gathering at Menard Park behind the McGuire Dent Recreation Center at 2222 28th Street.
The event benefits HART, a 501(3C) nonprofit that promotes health and fitness through running and walking. Awards include 1st Place Overall Male and Female, 1st Place Master Male and Female, and the top three finishers in each age group.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Galveston Island Running Co., 518 23rd Street, and race day packet pickup will be available at Menard Park at the McGuire Dent Recreation Center. Participants may pick up packets for family and friends. Entry fees are listed on the event page and a T Shirt only option is available for those who do not run the course.
