The half marathon course runs along the Texas City shoreline and the Texas City Dike and includes a 10-mile out-and-back section along the 5-mile dike, followed by a 3.1-mile loop through the park. The course is closed to vehicular traffic. Entry categories include divisions for age group, invitational, guardians, handcycle, wheelchair (push-rim), para athletes, and guides, and pace group leaders are listed. All registrants receive a running shirt and bib; half marathon finishers also receive performance socks. All finishers receive the same finisher medal. The event lists food, drinks, and awards for overall and age group competitors. A multi-race bundle option with a Space City race in April is available through the Lone Star Race Series.
