Latinas Leading Tomorrow Reach for the Stars 5K
Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) organizes an annual fundraising 5K run/walk in Washington, DC, to support the academic success and personal development of Latina students. The event includes both an in-person and a virtual option and takes place at Hains Point Park, with related activities at the Hains Point picnic area.
The organization aims to address cultural, language, and socio-economic barriers through culturally responsive programming and mentorship. Funds raised at this event will contribute directly to those efforts, and the stated fundraising goal is $60,000.
Every participant will receive a personalized fundraising page. Participants who raise $75 or more will have their race registration fee refunded, with processing fees excluded. Race packets will be available for pickup. The event is described as rain or shine, and strollers and walkers are welcome.
