Patriots Day at Bunnyman Brewing 5k & 10k
This event offers chip timed races held at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton and starts and ends near Bunnyman Brewing. Two distances are available:
- 5k
- 10k
The course is paved with limited hills. The 5k follows an out and back route and the 10k consists of two laps of the 5k. Water stations are provided along each course with four stations on the 5k and eight on the 10k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the Visitor Center.
Registered participants receive one glass of beer or wine from Bunnyman Brewing, a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; sizes for shirts are guaranteed only for those registered before the stated deadline. Live results are posted online during the event and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is available at registration.
The event awards the top three men and women overall and first and second place in multiple age categories. It benefits the Purple Heart Foundation, which provides critical assistance grants, resources related to TBI and PTS, mental health and suicide prevention support, academic scholarships, and service dogs.
