The 10th Anniversary Lakeland Police Foundation Fallen Heroes Memorial 5k takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida (3620 Cleveland Heights Blvd, 33803). The event includes an in-person 5k and a 5k virtual option. The race raises funds for the Lakeland Police Foundation to support education grants, financial assistance for members in extreme hardship, retired police canine care, the Police Explorer Program, and maintenance of the Fallen Heroes Memorial that honors seven Lakeland Police fallen officers. Logistics and awards

• Entry fee listed at $35; the price increases after April 12, 2026.
• Early packet pickup: May 14 and May 15 at the Lakeland Police Department Fallen Heroes Memorial, 4:30PM to 7:00PM.
• Day-of packet pickup and on-site registration: at the YMCA from 6:00AM to 7:00AM; expect longer lines on race morning.
• Parking is on the grassy areas on the south side of the YMCA; volunteers will assist. Participants are asked not to park in the YMCA lot or at the neighboring veterinary clinic.
• Shirts and sizes are guaranteed for preregistration before April 20, 2026; afterwards shirts are available while supplies last. No shirt exchanges until after the race, based on availability.
• Every participant receives a finisher medal. Placement medals awarded to the top three finishers in each five-year age bracket (from Ten and Under through 85 and older). Additional awards include Master Champion, Grand Master Champion, Overall Champion, and a Top Military/Public Safety Award for the top male and female with current or prior service in U.S. military or public safety professions.
