General Information
The Big Run 5K is a community running event held in Plant City, Florida, to celebrate Global Running Day. Organized by Fleet Feet Tampa and presented by Brooks, the event welcomes both runners and walkers to participate in a timed race. In addition to the main distance, the event features a short fun run for children and pets, covering approximately 0.25 to 0.5 miles.
Event Experience
The gathering includes various on-site activities and amenities designed for participants and spectators. Attendees can expect live music, face painting, and food trucks. Specific accommodations are provided for pets, including dedicated cooling stations for dogs. The first 200 participants who register for the in-person event receive a commemorative medal, a t-shirt, and food and drinks, along with items provided by event sponsors.
Registration and Logistics
Participants can collect their race materials, including shirts and bib numbers, during scheduled packet pick-up sessions at Fleet Feet New Tampa. These sessions take place on the Saturday and Sunday prior to the event date. Registration is available both online and in-store during these pick-up windows. The race course is located at 5202 Thonotosassa Road, where awards are presented following the conclusion of the timing period.
