Run for Their Lives 5K : Lakeland
Run for Their Lives is a chip timed 5K held on May 23, 2026, at Peterson Park, 3700 Cleveland Heights Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33803. The course uses most of the 3 Parks Trail. Walkers and leashed dogs are welcome. A continental breakfast is provided after the finish.
Registered participants receive a race bib and a choice of a short sleeve T shirt or a tank top; shirts or tanks are guaranteed for those pre registered by May 8, 2026. All finishers receive a race medal. A virtual 5K option is available and live event registrations may be transferred to the virtual option if the live event cancels for severe weather or if a participant cannot attend for health reasons; bibs, shirts, and medals remain available for pick up in that case.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, and continuing by decade up to 80 plus. There is also an award for Largest Team. Packet pick up is available at Fleet Feet Lakeside Village and on the day of the event at Peterson Park.
This event is a fundraiser for SPCA Florida. Registrations are non refundable and the event is held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
