Memorial Day 5K/10K/15K - Lakeland
The Memorial Day 5K/10K/15K in Lakeland is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at Thomas B. Mack Park on Lake Hollingsworth. The event is presented as a community observance to honor and remember service members who died while serving the country.
Participants may choose from these distances:

- 10K
- 15K
All three events start and finish at Thomas B. Mack Park and circle Lake Hollingsworth. Because the lake is about 5K, the 10K and 15K routes require multiple laps around the lake. All races use timed starts and timed finishes. Every athlete who crosses the finish line receives a commemorative finisher medal.
Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in traditional five-year age groups for each distance. Water stations are provided approximately every 1.5 miles. Participants are required to finish with at least a 16 minute per mile pace. Active and retired military are offered complimentary entry for the 5K, 10K, or 15K when showing military ID at bib pickup.
A virtual race option is available; virtual participants can submit results online and view official results on the Monday following the event. Registrations made by May 14 are guaranteed race swag in the correct size; later registrations receive swag while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
