Lake Mohegan Women's Trail Race
The Lake Mohegan Women’s Trail Race is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Lake Mohegan, 960 Morehouse Hwy., Fairfield, CT 06825. The event is organized by Steep Endurance and is designated as a women’s only race with registration also open to non-binary runners. In 2025 the event drew more than 130 participants. The course is based on a 3.2 mile loop; each race follows different iterations of that loop. A GPX file of the loop is available for download.
Race format, fees and rules
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- 4 hour - run or walk as many miles as possible on the 5K loop
Entry fees vary by date. Examples: 5K fees are $30 through Feb. 28, $35 March 1-31, and $40 from April 1 through race day. Comparable tiered pricing applies to the 10K and 4 hour options.
Aid and event services: water and SKRATCH electrolyte drink are provided at the start/finish aid station for the 4 hour runners and for 10K runners before their second loop. There is no on-course aid for 5K runners. The event is cupless to reduce waste.
Other facts: there are specially designed finisher medals and top-3 awards per event, post-race snacks and beverages, a no-refund/no-transfer policy, mandatory course following, no littering, non-transferable bibs, and a strong recommendation to avoid personal music devices for safety.
