About the race
The Guided Lairig Ghru Crossing is a 32km trail running event through the remote and historic high mountain pass of the Lairig Ghru in the Cairngorms, Scotland. Starting from the Linn of Dee, participants run northward along a route featuring approximately 600 meters of ascent. The course includes well-maintained trails as well as a challenging 5km section of rocky terrain and boulder fields.
The event is guided, with small teams of up to seven runners led by an experienced guide. It requires a good level of fitness and prior trail running experience. The event begins and ends near Aviemore, offering a unique opportunity to explore one of Scotland’s finest and most inaccessible trails.
