Grantown Try Tri
The Grantown Try Tri takes place in Grantown-on-Spey on 16 May 2027. The event is aimed at novice competitors and offers individual, team and junior team entry options, with specific rules for younger participants.
The multisport course comprises:
- Swim: 300 metres, 15 lengths of a 20 metre pool, two or three competitors per lane
- Cycle: 16 km circuit around the Grantown Braes
- Run: 4.8 km through Anagach Community woods
Entry categories and 2027 prices are listed as follows: Individual £35.00; Team of two or three £66.00; Junior team of two or three (entrants 18 or under) £35.00. The minimum age for individual and team entries is 11 years. All children under 15 who take part in the cycle stage must be accompanied by an adult. Parental consent is required for entrants aged 17 or under and the consent form is included in the race pack issued on the morning of the event.
The swim pool is staffed by officials and a lifeguard. The cycle and run routes are signposted and marshalled by static volunteers; the cycle route is also marshalled by volunteer radio cars with first aid training.
