Kornfest Fun Run
The Kornfest Fun Run is a community event held in Holmen, Wisconsin, hosted by the Holmen Knights of Columbus. The event features multiple courses and a family friendly theme of "Where's Waldo" with costume encouragement and possible character appearances along the route.
Distances and event types include:
- 10K Run
- 2 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Non Competitive Walk (no time or awards)
All registered participants receive a commemorative 2026 Kornfest Fun Run t shirt. Timing for competitive events uses a disposable chip on the bib and results are posted online. Participants in the Non Competitive Walk do not receive a time, are not eligible for awards, and are not listed in the official results.
Refreshments and entertainment are part of the event, including upbeat music and free bananas and water for participants. Awards include medals for first through third place overall for male and female finishers in both the 2 Mile and 10K events. Age categories include youth and adult brackets; the 10K lists a youth bracket of 0-13 while the 2 Mile lists youth brackets of 0-10 and 11-13. Adult categories include 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. A prize drawing is planned for children who complete the 10K or 2 Mile run.
The run serves as the annual fundraiser for the Holmen Knights of Columbus to support local people and families in the La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
