About the race
The Kaufman Turkey Trot takes place in Kaufman, Texas on November 26, 2026 at 215 West Mulberry Street. The event offers running and community activities and supports a local nonprofit, The Center.
The event includes these course options:
- 5K timed run/walk
- 1 mile fun run for all ages
Additional event features listed by the organizer include a pet costume contest, music, photo opportunities, vendors, and awards for top finishers and best-dressed participants. A VIP registration option is limited to the first 10 registrants and includes VIP lounge access for the registrant plus up to two guests, beverages and snacks, a power station, VIP restrooms, and front row parking for one vehicle. A sleep in registration option is available; sleep in registrants receive a race shirt shipped to their address and do not need to attend the event in person.
Packet pick up is available the day of the event and the organizer recommends picking up the day before on Wednesday, November 25 in front of Latham's Bakery on the Kaufman Square. The event is held rain or shine.
