Event overview
The Kalero 5k is a race taking place on August 22, 2026 at Kalero Vineyards in Purcellville, Virginia. The event includes a virtual race option. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k Series, the Back of the Pack Series, and the Sippin Series.

- Distance: 5k
The course is described as a 1 km cross country loop around the vineyard. Organizers note water stations; one description lists a station at the start/finish and another lists five stations approximately every kilometer. Water stations and Gatorade availability are subject to change.
Runners receive one glass of wine from Kalero Vineyards, a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for runners registered before August 20; extras may be available afterward. Early registration for the 5k is listed at $35, increasing to $40 after August 15, with an additional $5 increase on race morning.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place male and female in age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Top three overall finishers are not eligible for age-group prizes.
