Chrysalis Vineyards Wine Run 5K
This event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held at Chrysalis Vineyards in Middleburg, Virginia. The course is out-and-back and passes through pastures, by a dairy, and through vineyard rows, giving runners views of the agricultural district.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, results posted online, and a pour of wine for those of legal age. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but they will not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine.
Age group awards are offered for ten-year categories; the top three finishers in each age group receive custom awards. Competitive runners and age group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible for an award. Age group awards are available for pickup only on the day of the event and are distributed at the registration table; results are posted online after the race.
Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Walking is permitted. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA rules. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
