The Great Twilight Deadman's Hill 2 Mile Run
This event takes place on August 22, 2026 in Brunswick, Maryland. It is a point to point 2 mile running race that is described as mostly flat or downhill, with the start at Brunswick Middle School, 301 Cummings Drive, and the finish at Square Corner Park in downtown Brunswick.
The course follows Cummings Drive, turns onto 9th Avenue, then left down Deadman's Hill and along East Potomac Street to the finish. A course map is provided by the organizer.
Pre registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes August 15, 2026. Pre race bib pickup and race day registration are available at the starting line. Entry fees are listed by age group: 12 and under $5, 13 to 18 $10, and 19 and older $15. Race day registration carries an additional $5 fee.
Shuttle service runs from the Square Corner Park area in downtown Brunswick to the start so participants can park near the finish and ride to the starting area. Parking options cited include the railroad parking area and the MARC train lot; participants may also park at the middle school and register there.
At the finish, participants will receive an ice cream sundae, lemonade, and snacks, with ice cream supplied by Little Red Barn Ice Cream Shop. Proceeds support BARC and BHS track and field equipment purchases. Final times will be recorded for those interested; this is not an award focused race.
