Kaleidoscope Child Foundation 5K Run/Walk for Education
This event is a 5K run and walk taking place at Lucky Shoals Park, 4651 Britt Road, Norcross, GA, on September 20, 2026. It is organized by the Kaleidoscope Child Foundation, a nonprofit focused on reducing barriers to education in underprivileged areas.
The foundation supports programs in Cambodia, Guatemala, India, and the United States and reports that more than 1,000 students are currently involved in its work. Funds from donors, sponsors, and annual run and walk participants are used for building schools, recruiting qualified educators, funding medical assistance, and providing sources of clean water.
Registration fee levels are tiered by date: Mar 30 to May 31 the 5K entry is $25, Jun 1 to Sep 19 it is $30, and Sep 20 it is $35. A shirt only option is available for $25. A course map and suggested award categories are provided by organizers. Award categories include overall male and female, masters male and female, and age group awards for ages 0 to 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
Registration policies note that there are no refunds unless a participant enrolled in the Refund Protection Program, and that race management may cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
