National Chocolate Day: Run for Chocolates 5K/10K/13.1 ATLANTA
This event takes place on September 12, 2026, at South Peachtree Creek Trail in Decatur, GA 30033. It is organized as a smaller, private group run with participant caps per wave. All paces are welcome and participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. The format supports running or walking and does not require special equipment; event coordinators are present to provide support.
Timing is optional. Participants may track efforts with any running app and submit results for posting, or request coordinator assistance. No timing chips are used. A virtual run option is available with a digital training pack and medal issuance upon submitted results.
Swag is mailed to US addresses and race bibs are provided on race day. Typical items listed include:

Event items and services include a running T shirt, finisher medal, finisher towel or giveaway, digital training pack, online results and certificate of completion, and an invitation to local running clubs. Technical shirts are available as an optional upgrade for an additional five dollars. Race updates are emailed the Wednesday before the event. A charity initiative donates one dollar for every mile logged after the race to partner charities. Published registration fees are $41.89 for the 5K, $47.26 for the 10K, $50.48 for the half marathon, $41.89 for the virtual run, and $39.74 for the family mile.
