JMB Memorial Run
The JMB Memorial Run is a memorial race held to raise scholarship funds for high school seniors who plan to use their education to give back to the local community. The event is organized by family, friends, and community volunteers and is held at South Lenoir High School in Deep Run, North Carolina on November 7, 2026.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K with a registration fee of $30.00.
- 1 mile Fun Run with a registration fee of $20.00.
Registration opens on February 26, 2026 and closes on October 27, 2026. Race shirts are guaranteed only for participants who register by October 15, 2026.
Since 2016 the event has awarded more than $34,000.00 in scholarships to 37 South Lenoir High School students. Awards are presented to the top male and female in each age group: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
