Walk the Line 24 Hour
Walk the Line is a 24-hour endurance event dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of first responders, including police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and dispatchers. The event aims to raise awareness about issues like PTSD and burnout, and to fund mental health programs and peer support networks.
The event takes place in Seven Springs, North Carolina at 240 Park Entrance Road, within Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. It offers several participation formats:
- 24 Hour Individual
- 24 Hour Team (6 persons max)
- 12 Hour Individual (day start time)
- 12 Hour Individual (night start time)
- 6 Hour Individual
- 3 hour Individual
- Vendor
Participants compete by completing laps on a marked 4-mile trail course. The participant with the most laps completed in their category wins a prize. For safety, headlamps and reflective vests are required for night-time participants.
Camping is included for 24-hour and 12-hour participants. The group camp accommodates up to 200 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Early camp setup is available on the day before the event. Aid stations and food vendors will be present, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies and toiletries.
