Trail Event at Cliffs Of The Neuse
The Cliffs Of The Neuse Trail Run & Hike takes place at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park in Seven Springs, North Carolina. This event features multiple distances that utilize single and double track trails. The routes include sections with elevation changes, several bridges, and views of the local river and lake.
Participants can choose from various event lengths:
- 4 Miles (Run or Hike options available)
- 8 Miles (Run)
- 25K (Run)
- 50K (Run)
The 50K and 25K distances are organized as lap-based races. While the runs are timed events, the 4-mile hike is an untimed option. Children aged five and under may participate in the hike for free if accompanied by a registered guardian.
The start and finish area is located at the large picnic shelter near the lake parking lot. Facilities at this location include a paved parking area and permanent bathrooms. While the majority of the course consists of trails, there is a short section of gravel road included in the route. After finishing, participants are provided with a small meal and cookies, with gluten-free and plant-based options available. Awards are presented following the conclusion of the races.
