Cliffs Of The Neuse Trail Run & Hike - Overview
The Cliffs Of The Neuse Trail Run & Hike takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park in Seven Springs, NC. The event includes multiple trail distances with separate entry options and an online registration deadline of March 19, 2026. The start and finish are located at the big picnic shelter by the lake parking lot. Parking and restrooms are available at the start/finish parking lot and at the visitors center by the water-only station.

Courses are mostly single and double track with a short gravel section. The 4-mile loop is about 225 feet of elevation gain. The 8-mile course is about 425 feet of elevation gain. The 25K and 50K use laps with roughly 450 feet of elevation gain per lap; each lap has aid and restroom access at the start/finish and additional water stations and restrooms on the lap. All courses are marked and timed.
Aid stations provide water and food items specific to each distance, and tacos and snacks are offered at the finish for the 4- and 8-mile events. All finishers who register in time receive a sustainable wood medal. All 50K entrants receive event socks; more socks may be purchased at the finish (cash only).
