Event Overview
The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Adirondack Health is a seasonal community event held in Lake Placid. Participants complete a course that circles Mirror Lake, starting and finishing at the Lake Placid Public Beach. This event serves as the commencement of the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll.
Course Information
The route covers a distance of 2.5 miles. The course is flat and follows the perimeter of Mirror Lake. This is an untimed event, making it accessible for those who prefer walking or running at their own pace. Due to the nature of the event, pets are not permitted to join participants on the course.
Activities and Participation
Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire, such as holiday-themed hats, jingle bells, or full costumes. The first 100 registered individuals receive a Holiday Village Stroll hat. While there is a registration fee for adults, children aged 12 and under can participate for free, though they must still be registered.
Charitable Component
The event supports Adirondack Health's Patient Comfort Cart. Participants may contribute by bringing new or gently used books, such as mysteries, biographies, or inspirational titles. These donations are provided to adult patients to offer entertainment and comfort during their hospital stay. Registration takes place at the local beach house prior to the start of the activity.
