Lake Placid Marathon and Half and 10K
The event on June 13, 2027 offers three road races that begin on Main St in the Village of Lake Placid and finish at the Olympic Speedskating Oval. The courses pass mountain views, open areas, shaded sections, a class III trout stream, and Mirror Lake. The marathon uses a double out and back route and the half marathon is a single out and back. The 10K runs concurrently with the longer races.

Well stocked aid stations are available along the course. Organizers provide athlete food at the finish, a finisher medal, and a 2027 race T shirt, though gifts and medals are not guaranteed for those registering after May 23, 2027 and shirts are limited. The event uses a six hour course limit for each race. The marathon has an age restriction of 16 years and older on race day; competitors under 18 need a parent to sign registration in person. Entry fees include a charity component that supports both a human and an animal or environmental charity.
