Mother's Day 10K - Lake Placid
The event is a pair of off-road out-and-back races on the Adirondack Rail Trail on May 8, 2027, with the start and finish at Bike Lake Placid, 455 Old Military Rd, Lake Placid NY 12946. The fields use the rail trail and include on-course and finish-area services.

The finish area will offer food, drink, music and awards. Awards are given to the top three in several categories: Youth up to age 20, Open 21-45, Masters 46 and up; a non binary category will be ageless. The 5K includes youth divisions with a U10 category and separate boys and girls classes for ages 10 to 20.
A cup-less aid station will supply water at the finish and participants are encouraged to bring their own vessel. One on-course aid station is located at the turnaround in the middle of the Ray Brook straightaway. Wave starts may be used to reduce trail congestion. Parking is available at the Lake Placid Firehouse lot with ADA parking at Bike Lake Placid.
A stroller and pet friendly race will follow the 10K start, is limited in entrants to reduce congestion, and requires a non-retractable leash for animals. Children under 13 are not allowed to run with a dog. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Adirondack Rail Trail Association and to the Tri Lakes Humane Society.
Registration opens 10/12/2026 and closes 1/31/2027 with entry fees listed by event. Bib pickup begins on race day at the start location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
