About the race
The Jelly Bean 5K is a running event held at Fairy Lake Park in Newmarket, Ontario, presented by Newmarket Road Runners in support of LOFT Community Services. The 2026 edition marks the 10th anniversary and is announced as the final run. The event offers two distances and a route that follows the Tom Taylor Trail. The course is described as scenic, peaceful, flat, and suitable for both running and walking.
Race kit pick up is to be announced. Included for the 5K are JB5K branded gloves, chip timing provided by Enfield Timing, a finisher medal, a jelly bean aid station at the halfway point, finish-line snacks, jelly bean prizes for the top three male and female finishers, and bonus prizes to be announced. The 1K Kids Fun Run includes a race bib, finisher medal, jelly bean aid station at the halfway point, and finish-line snacks. Parents or guardians may run with their child in the 1K without registering the adult. Standard registration fees are listed in the event information, with an early bird rate for the 5K available for the first 50 entrants.
